Madi Maxwell-Libby is a comedy performer, spoken-word artist, Roundhouse Poetry Slam Champion 2016, and award-winning office temp*. Her poem ‘Kids, Coins, Cuts’, (about childhoods under austerity) was broadcast on BBC iPlayer for National Poetry Day, and she was a finalist in the National Slam Championships at the Royal Albert Hall. She has performed her work for Nationwide’s TV ad campaigns, the Southbank Centre and bemused commuters in busy city train stations. She is a Resident Artist at the Roundhouse and is currently developing her first solo show MASSIVE SENSE OF URGENCY, a physical comedy show about living under capitalism, with support from Battersea Arts Centre and Camden People’s Theatre. She is from London and wears a lot of wool.
